Shifting Into Minimal Style

A few weeks back I was having a real conversation with you guys about how I wanted to change my wardrobe.

I also admitted that for the past 6 months I’ve been buying clothes with Instagram posts in mind. Meaning that if I saw something trendy or that got a lot of likes I would run and buy it. Like some bloggers out there that are amazing at mixing¬† & matching prints. I thought that was the way to get more engagement on Instagram.

But the truth is, I hated it. I never wore any of those pieces after I shot with them, I had a closet full of things that didn’t resonate with my personal style. One morning I was looking at my closet trying to pick an outfit and I realized I absolutely didn’t like any of the pieces I had there. And then it hit me, all those clothes left were purchased because I thought it would be very trendy on Instagram.

I made an executive decision to purge my closet and start all over, buying the things I actually liked for myself, not for approval from social media. So this is the first time I’m presenting a minimal outfit, I hope you enjoy it! I loved how these photos turned out and I definitely think it’s because I’m finally wearing what I love.
